In an increasingly automated, data-driven world, it may come as a surprise that intrinsically human soft skills are driving the future of the workplace—at least according to LinkedIn’s 2019 Global Talent Trends Report. However, though increasingly important, soft skills still remain fairly ambiguous, namely because they are difficult to measure.
Third Space is aiming to solve this by revolutionizing the soft skill assessment.
On Friday, February 1st, Third Space fellows Jaime Carias and Alison Horstmeyer teamed up to introduce soft skills problem solving to the First-Generation College Student Summit at USC.
The 4th annual summit held at Ronald Tutor Campus Center focused on building a community for first-generation college students, educating around issues, practices and research on first-generation college experiences and bringing visibility to the first-generation college student community and their intersecting identities.
On January 24th, Third Space fellows Jaime Carias and Alison Horstmeyer spoke with the USC College Advising Corps for their professional development day, aimed at preparing them for their next job when they leave the Corps.
